Part I: Crosses in the New World
In this article the Maya cross symbols and their association with the Great Celestial Conjunction that is occurring at the end of the Maya Long Count calendar is being discussed. This rare cosmic event is associated with Galactic Alignment which is a particular case of a Great Celestial Conjunction.
As we will demonstrate in this article Maya cross symbols appear in abundance in temples, stelae, stone tablets and other artefacts that are associated with the Maya creation myths and the Maya Sacred Tree.
Most importantly Maya cross symbols appear in Izapa in the stelae that encode the winter solstice sun’s conjunction with the Galactic Equator around era-2012. New information reveals important facts that have been overlooked by John Major Jenkins whose research has connected this site to the Maya’s understanding of a Galactic Alignment that would occur at the end of the Maya Long Count calendar.

The thesis of this article is that the ancient Maya understood that the zodiac cross (cross formed by the solstice and equinox axis) revolves against the backdrop of a fixated cross during a precession cycle. The first cross, the zodiac cross is the Earth Cross while the second cross is the Galactic Cross. The Galactic Cross is the intersection of the Galactic Equator with the ecliptic and the axis perpendicular to this intersection. When the Earth Cross and the Galactic Cross are superimposed they form an 8 pointed cross. The two separate crosses become conjunct and form a single 4 pointed cross during the moments of a Great Celestial Conjunction. After the Great Celestial Conjunction the individual crosses separate again to form an 8 pointed cross again.

Part II: Crosses in the Old World
This article is the sequel to the Great Celestial Conjunction crosses that appear in the New World. In part I the Great Celestial Conjunction was discussed that is occurring in era-2012 when the Earth Cross aligns with the Galactic Cross. It was demonstrated how this knowledge was encrypted in the creation myths and artefacts of the Mesoamerican natives, the Maya and the Aztecs.
In this article it will be shown that the same knowledge also existed in the Old World. This article is meant to demonstrate the principles only and in no way does it claim to be a complete survey of the ancient understanding of precession and Great Celestial Conjunctions. It should be regarded as an eye-opener to the possibility that the ancients understood that there are two crosses involved in the precession cycle that define the moments of the Great Celestial Conjunctions.

Moon landing tapes got erased, NASA admits

Since then, Richard Nafzger, an engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, who oversaw television processing at the ground-tracking sites during the Apollo 11 mission, has been looking for them.
The good news is he found where they went. The bad news is they were part of a batch of 200,000 tapes that were degaussed -- magnetically erased -- and re-used to save money.[???]

Facebook 'violates' privacy law

·The popular social networking site Facebook is not doing enough to protect the personal information it gets from subscribers, and it gives users confusing and incomplete information about privacy matters.

Las cúpulas del Ibex se suben el sueldo el 12,7%

El presidente del Gobierno les advirtió de que no es el momento de «salarios excesivos» y algunos de los grandes empresarios del país prometieron congelar o reducir su sueldo de este año. Los salarios que entrarán en la nevera o pasarán por la poda, eso sí, son los más altos de la historia empresarial española. En el 2008, con la crisis ya en plena eclosión, la remuneración de los consejeros y altos directivos de las empresas del Ibex 35 aumentó el 12,7%, hasta los 611,4 millones de euros.
El alza sería aún mayor si no fuera porque nueve empresas del selectivo redujeron los emolumentos de su cúpula. Fue el caso de Acerinox (menos 60,8%), Enagas (45,5%), Endesa (39,9%), Bankinter (34,8%), Ferrovial (33%), Telecinco (10,7%), Cintra (10%), Acciona (8,3%), y Sacyr (0,5%), según el último informe de gobierno corporativo que elabora la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV).
Una rebaja que, sin embargo, es engañosa. Hay que tener en cuenta que algunas de estas empresas –Ferrovial, Sacyr, Cintra y Acerinox– entraron en pérdidas, y que otras (Endesa y Enagas) pagaron en el 2007 las indemnizaciones de sus ex presidentes Manuel Pizarro (14 millones) y Antonio González-Adalid (4,7), lo cual distorsiona la comparación.
Se confirma así que, por más que la crisis azotase al país, a los responsables de las grandes empresas no se les pasó por la cabeza apretarse el cinturón. De hecho, algunas compañías registraron aumentos vertiginosos. Sucedió en Iberdrola Renovables (117,3%), Criteria (97,5%) --ambas empezaron a cotizar en el último trimestre del 2007-- Gamesa (82,3%), Telefónica (68,3), Sabadell (51,6%), Banesto (35,9%) y Abengoa (31,1%).
De entre las cinco grandes empresas españolas, aparte de Telefónica, el mayor incremento fue el de Iberdrola (27,2%).
Cada empresa del Ibex tiene de media 14,7 altos directivos (13,3 en el 2007), que cobran cada uno un promedio de 675.000 euros al año (669.000 euros hace doce meses) y en conjunto 9,92 millones (8,89 millones), que suponen el 1,78% de los beneficios de la entidad (1,46%). El 77% de las compañías (27) tienen cláusulas de blindaje para sus 278 directivos. Además, cinco reconocen que les pagan de media más de un millón de euros al año.

A team of experts recently discovered a six-kilometer-long lava cave system on Easter Island thought to have been used as a refuge by the island’s inhabitants during the 16th century. The team confirmed it is the largest cave on the island and the 11th-largest in the world in terms of area.

Bossi describe las difíciles relaciones tanto en nuestro interior como en las sociedades humanas, entre nuestra “alma vital” y nuestra “alma pensante”, en el zoé y el bios, según la distinción aristotélica, entre nuestra vida desnuda de animal humano y esa vida “buena” y digna del ser consciente y libre que podemos llegar a ser, que tanto moralistas como juristas y teólogos han intentado imaginar y transmitirnos. Para la autora, repensar el “alma” supone, en el fondo radical, la defensa del ser humano.
En los albores del tercer milenio, el alma ha sido olvidada. Los poetas y los artistas, en una curiosa sustitución, ya sólo se interesan por su doble, el cuerpo, el soma, que antaño significó el cuerpo “inanimado”, sin vida, el cadáver (en inglés, corpse). Los filósofos parecen pensar que se trata de un tema que ya es historia, apenas útil para las antologías. En cuanto a los psicoanalistas, ya no se atreven ni siquiera a nombrar el objeto de sus estudios. Incluso los teólogos parecen hoy molestos ante esta palabra, tal vez por miedo a ser tomados por dualistas anticuados, o por simple fatiga ante siglos de controversia.

Los teólogos hoy, en lugar de “alma”, prefieren el término “persona” (máscara de teatro, personaje), cuyo significado teológico, opuesto a la naturaleza y relacionado con las hipóstasis divinas, escapa al profano, más familiarizado con su significado jurídico, de origen estoico, de ciudadano responsable que desempeña un papel en la polis. El alma también está ausente de los escritos modernos y diccionarios de teología cristiana, e incluso en la liturgia católica en torno a los muertos.

A través de esas manifestaciones paradójicas, podemos elaborar nuevos mapas de lo real que queremos desentrañar, tal como los astrónomos construyen los mapas siderales: suponiendo la existencia de algo no cuantificado a partir de ciertos comportamientos o reacciones, de origen desconocido, elaboran mapas de la realidad astronómica.
De esta manera intuitiva, nosotros nos aproximamos también a la interpretación de lo que suponemos existe, creando modelos teóricos que incluyen nuevos parámetros, deducidos a partir de los comportamientos observados. De este modo se construye, o se amplía, un nuevo entorno que nos permite explicarnos mejor a nosotros mismos y a nuestra propia razón de ser. En el nuevo entorno diseñado, se volverán a manifestar, tarde o temprano, nuevas paradojas para nuevas búsquedas.

The man in charge of the secret organization known as the Office of International Treasury Control (IOTC) is R.C. Dan. Dan claims to be a Cambodian Prince and now lives in the Thai Royal family complex in Bangkok, Thailand. The man known to us as a whistleblower is an Australian who used to work for him. The U.S. educated Mr. Dan claims to have special privileges in the Senate and the House by the United Nations. These may have been granted, but then again it is hard to find many treaties or agreements the U.S. has not broken. He claims to be the sole arbiter, owner and controller of the international collateral combined accounts of the global debt facility. He also claims to have 3rd to 5th level security clearance granted to him by the U.S. Congress. Dan was appointed in 1995 as the sole arbiter for the Bank of International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland. He also has the codes for 60 types of special “debt instruments” connected to a complex combination of countries, treaties, banks and other financial institutions. Most of these are now in deep trouble because of the quadrillions of dollars of toxic financial products based on nothing but fiat (out of nothing) money. So long as the Ponzi scheme known as Wall Street collapses and economic discipline is imposed, the whole mess can be cleared up within 3 years.
These so-called “debt instruments” were created by the U.S. treasury department over the years and given to countries that have trade surpluses with the U.S. There are, for example, special sets of boxes specific only to certain countries or institutions.
The problem is that after nearly a century of issuing these debt boxes, the chickens are coming home to roost. President Obama tried at the recent G8 plus 5 meeting in Italy to borrow more money than George Bush junior did in 8 years. He was told a resounding no. The result should be total economic chaos in the U.S. by September 30th. The good news for the Americans is that it is not the U.S. that is bankrupt but rather a corporation known as the United States of America Corporation headquartered in the independent statelet known as Washington D.C. Once the Feds go down the drain of history, the American people will be provided with extremely generous funding to rebuild their industry and develop suppressed technology. The Pentagon will also be given generous funding to help it transform itself into a more benevolent organization. In the meantime, we know the Feds are not going to go quietly into the night so we have to be extremely vigilant in stopping whatever crazy thing they try next. The question for Mr. Dan is, when are you going to go public and tell the world the truth?

Durante sus cinco primeros meses en la Casa Blanca, Barack Obama y sus más íntimos asesores han intentado resistirse a las distintas voces que clamaban por una investigación de los presuntos abusos de autoridad de la Administración de George Bush, especialmente en nombre de la lucha contra el terrorismo y la seguridad nacional. Pero esa posición, basada en la necesidad de centrarse en el presente y el futuro más que en el pasado, empieza a ceder ante la creciente presión que están creando las nuevas y problemáticas revelaciones.
Obama tiene varios frentes abiertos que cada día se confirman como más difíciles de contener. El más reciente se ha hecho ineludible en las últimas horas, cuando se ha desvelado que durante siete años, y por orden del exvicepresidente Dick Cheney, se mantuvo oculto a los líderes del Congreso un plan de la CIA enmarcado en la lucha contra el terrorismo. Fue el actual director de la agencia de espionaje, Leon Panetta, quien informó a finales de junio al Congreso de ese plan y de su ocultación, llevando a líderes demócratas en las Cámaras como los senadores Dianne Feinstein y Richard Durbin a hablar de «un gran problema» posiblemente «ilegal».

El giro al que se está viendo abocada la Administración de Obama se constata también en uno de los asuntos que más han dañado la reputación de EEUU en los últimos años: el uso de torturas –o, como los denominaba el anterior Gobierno, «técnicas de interrogatorio ampliadas»–. Pese a haberlas condenado abiertamente, Obama prefería hasta ahora contener la exposición pública de documentos clasificados relacionados con el escándalo.

Otro frente abierto para Obama es el del espionaje a los propios ciudadanos estadounidenses, pues hace unos días se hizo público un informe de cinco inspectores generales sobre el programa de escuchas sin órdenes judiciales que llevó a cabo la Agencia de Seguridad Nacional, un documento que sacó a la luz varios programas de espionaje secretos durante los años de Bush en la Casa Blanca.

El presidente de Bolivia, Evo Morales, señaló hoy en Montevideo, donde se encuentra en visita oficial, que fue el Comando Sur de la Armada de los Estados Unidos el principal responsable del golpe de Estado acaecido en Honduras.
En una rueda de prensa el presidente boliviano indicó que "sobran documentos" que ilustran la intervención estadounidense en Honduras. "Tal vez Obama no sepa esto, pero la estructura del imperio sigue vigente. Lo que el año pasado tenía que pasar en Bolivia, que fue un golpe civil, ahora está pasando en Honduras. Es una agresión, una provocación del imperio", dijo el mandatario.

El Futuro De Los Alimentos

En “The future of food” se desvela como la industria biotecnológica y agroalimentaria se han unido para controlar el mercado de los alimentos. Desde que la Corte Suprema de EE.UU abrió la puerta para poder patentar organismos genéticamente modificados, las grandes empresas del sector, como Monsanto o DuPont, han utilizado sus patentes para apropiarse de todo aquello que contenga sus genes patentados. Un ejemplo terrible de como el sistema de patentes no protege el conocimiento, sino que lo privatiza. De este modo, Monsanto ha obligado a los agricultores cuyos cultivos han sido contaminados por cepas transgénicas a destruir sus reservas de semillas (o pagar la licencia por el uso de “su” tecnología), como parte de una estrategia dirigida a ir reduciendo la cuota de mercado de las semillas tradicionales, que progresivamente se irán contaminando conforme avancen los cultivos transgénicos. Paralelamente, estas empresas han ido absorbiendo a sus competidores hasta configurar un gran oligopolio en el mercado de semillas y la producción de pesticidas y fertilizantes. Durante el documental se explican las técnicas invasivas de las que se sirve la ingeniería genética para obrar sus “milagros”: Primero se debilitan las células receptoras y, mediante virus y bacterias, se invade el núcleo con ADN con la esperanza de que se recombine. Para separar las recombinaciones exitosas del resto se implanta también genes resistentes a un antibiótico específico, y luego se expone la muestra a dicho antibiótico. Los organismos que sobreviven son los que buscábamos, listos para introducirse en la cadena alimentaria junto a su recientemente adquirida inmunidad antibiótica. ¿Qué pasará cuando estas características de organismos genéticamente modificados contaminen las cosechas tradicionales y las semillas híbridas hereden las características de su progenitor modificado?
