Extracto de su libro The Chaos Point: The World At The Crossroads, según aparece traducido en El Misterio de 2012, ed. Arkano Books]

Robot teacher conducts first class in Tokyo school

·A robot schoolteacher developed by Japanese scientists has taken a class in a Tokyo school.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/5311151/Robot-teacher-conducts-first-class-in-Tokyo-school.html
Image
Saya, the female humanoid robot, taught a science and technology lesson to a class of 10-year-old pupils at Kudan Elementary School in Tokyo.
With her neat brown hair, pink lipstick and skirt suit, the robot, created by scientists at Tokyo University of Science, has been designed to resemble as human a form as possible.
Using a range of programmed movements from eyebrow arching to smiling, her face is capable of expressing six basic emotions in the classroom – surprise, fear, disgust, anger, happiness and sadness.
[...]
"So we hope to be able to develop this robot so it can be remotely controlled to teach these classes."
While Saya's creator Professor Hiroshi Kobayashi said the robot's main purpose was to highlight the joys of technology to children, he also said it would benefit schools suffering from a shortage of human teachers[!!!].

I wasn't invited to Bilderberg 2009 in Vouliagmeni Greece, May 14th-17th

It has been reported that this year's meeting of the Bilderberg Group will be held at the Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Greece from May 14-17.
I don't know what the Bilderberg Group really does, but
the way that they conduct their business sure makes it seem like they are a shadowy cabal of elites plotting world domination. Will the press cover this meeting with anything more than a passing remark? They really ought to. If you are the sort of person who is alright with going down the rabbit hole, I recommend a few google searches.

Police State Study Ranks U.S. As 6th Worst In The World

·UK in 5th, behind only the most ardent dictatorships
http://www.prisonplanet.com/police-state-study-ranks-us-as-6th-worst-in-the-world.html
A study designed to rank countries in terms of how aggressively they monitor their populations electronically, has placed the US as 6th and the UK as 5th on a global index.
The two countries lag behind only China, North Korea, Belarus and Russia in terms of governmental surveillance.
The report, titled The Electronic Police State, (PDF link) was compiled from information available from different organizations such as the Electronic Privacy Information Center, Reporters Without Borders, Freedom House, the Ludwig von Mises Institute and The Heritage Foundation.
52 countries were rated on 17 criteria with regard to how far down the line they are toward a total electronic police state.
The study was undertaken by a private company called ''CryptoHippie'', which specializes in privacy technologies.
[...]
The report contains a colour coded world map, with red representing the most advanced electronic police states, orange for strongly developing electronic police states and yellow for nations that are further behind in terms of surveillance:
Police State Study Ranks U.S. As 6th Worst In The World 120509surveillance map
The 17 criteria that were used to define an electronic police state are listed below:
  1. Daily documents: How much is required day-to-day for residents to present state-issued identity documents or registration.
  2. Border issues: What is demanded for a border entry.
  3. Financial tracking: The state’s ability to search and record financial transactions.
  4. Gag orders: The penalties for revealing to someone else the state is searching their records.
  5. Anti-crypto laws: Bans on cryptography.
  6. Constitutional protections: Either a lack of protections or someone overriding them.
  7. Data storage: The state’s ability to record and keep what it uncovers.
  8. Data search: The processes to search through data.
  9. ISP data retention: The demand for ISPs to save customers’ records.
  10. Telephone data retention: States’ requirements for communications companies to record and save records.
  11. Cell phone records: The saving and using of cell phone users’ records.
  12. Medical records: Demands from states that medical records retain information.
  13. Enforcement: The state’s ability to use force (SWAT teams) to seize someone.
  14. Habeus corpus: Either an absence of such rights or someone overriding them.
  15. Police-Intel barrier: the absence of a barrier between police and intelligence organizations.
  16. Covert hacking: State operatives meddling in data on private computers covertly.
  17. Loose warrants: Warrants that are being issued without careful review of police claims by a truly independent judge.
The countries making up the top ten in the rankings are Singapore, Israel, France and Germany.
Following the top ten the rankings are: 11. Malaysia, 12. Ireland, 13. United Kingdom, Scotland, 14. Netherlands, 15. South Korea, 16. Ukraine, 17. Belgium, 18. Australia, 19. Japan, 20. Crop Circle (Nº 8) Depicts A Time Map

http://www.halfpasthuman.com/swirlies/Clatford_a.htm
[Cliff High (halfpasthuman.com, webbot), analyses pictogram Nº 8, @ Clatford - nr Manton, Wiltshire - reported May 4, 2009]

I[Cliff High] doubt that this latest crop glyph is a sigil as it is not asymmetric, as all, meaningful, sigils, are. As is explained in the annotated diagrams of the crop circle(glyph) below, this latest orb-created glyph is bi-laterally symmetrical, as no sigil *can* be an still retain value as a code. Also let us note now that sigils are an attempt to disguise information through coding, not communicate it. Sooooo....it does not make sense to me that these orb-dudes would go to all the trouble to create these glyphs only to then use forms that 'obscure' information, as do sigils.....my conclusion therefore is that this glyph is NOT a sigil, and, assuming that it is intended to create effective communications, a different interpretation *could* be extracted.

Preliminary conclusion:
There are more elements and combinations of elements which can be also interpreted with archetypic, and hopefully 'universal' themes, but they are also going to the point already made, which is to say that the Clatford crop glyph is likely NOT a sigil, intending to obscure, but rather is more likely a temporal reference 'map' intending to point us toward the alignment of the earth (from the earth's view point) with the Milky Way galactic central on 12.21.2012, at 11:11 am. There are also hints within the further analysis at the archetypic level to examine the 'half cycles', or 13,0000 years and what happened then.....or so it would seem.
Further conclusions are able to be extracted from the higher levels of reality, such as the 'apparent' attempt to over lay the 'hoax' label on this particular glyph, as well as the 'rapt and rabid' attention being paid to crop circles/glyphs by the British and American military organizations, as well as several very 'key' corporations.
The amount of effort going into 'rubbishing' this particular glyph brings up the natural response of 'why'? What makes this communications so special?

What is anti-Semitism?

·A UCSB professor's controversial e-mail underscores the need to define a sensitive subject
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-goldberg12-2009may12,0,1363776.story
http://www.eng.fju.edu.tw/iacd_2007F/lit_crit/images/critical-thinking-cartoon.jpg
William I. Robinson, a professor of sociology at UC Santa Barbara, probably shouldn't have been surprised when he found himself in the news earlier this month. He had, after all, forwarded an e-mail to his students that juxtaposed images of Palestinians caught up in Israel's recent Gaza Strip offensive with Jewish victims of the Nazis. The e-mail included graphic photographs of dead Jewish children from the 1940s alongside similar photos from Gaza. In a cover note, Robinson called the images "parallel" and compared Gaza to the Warsaw Ghetto.
The outcry built slowly. First, a few students complained; then, organized groups became involved. Two national Jewish leaders accused Robinson (who is himself Jewish) of anti-Semitism, and the university's Academic Senate opened an investigation and is considering disciplinary proceedings. Articles about the controversy have been published all over the world and have given rise to fundamental questions:
Is it ever acceptable to compare Israelis to Nazis? When does criticism of Israel become anti-Semitism? And who should make these calls?
[...]
Robinson's bottom line is this: Whether you accept the analogy or find it "absurd," the real principle at stake is that of open debate and academic freedom. A professor engaging in a controversial conversation with his students may not be shut down by the defenders of a particular ideology. Deeply held beliefs are there to be challenged; that's how critical thinking is developed.

Records Show Billions Withdrawn Before Madoff Arrest

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/13/business/13madoff.html?hp

[Charles Ponzi, c. 1919. Fast-talking scam artist, creator of the 'Ponzi Notes'. It's estimated that nearly three-quarters of the Boston Police Department 'invested' in Ponzi's pyramid scheme]

About $12 billion was pulled out of accounts at Bernard L. Madoff's firm in 2008, according to several people briefed on an analysis of Mr. Madoff’s business records.

About $6 billion, or half, was taken out in just the three months before the financier was arrested in December and charged with operating an extensive Ponzi scheme, these people said.
Those figures offer a bit of hope for Mr. Madoff’s thousands of defrauded customers. Under federal law, the trustee overseeing the Madoff bankruptcy can sue to retrieve that money from the investors who withdrew it.
Indeed, the trustee, Irving H. Picard of Baker & Hostetler, filed two lawsuits on Tuesday seeking the return of a total of $6.1 billion, which he estimated had been withdrawn over the last decade.
[...]
It is not clear where the cash taken out of the Madoff accounts is located, or how much of it can be recovered through litigation.

A Grand Conspiracy Theory From Pakistan

http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/05/12/a-grand-conspiracy-theory-from-pakistan/?ref=world

The Web site Pakistan Daily is an Islamabad-based hub for Pakistani citizen journalism, promising Pakistani readers: “Your News. Powered by You.” It is also an excellent place to turn if you want to read in on the latest conspiracy theories making the rounds in that country. Or just get very scared [What kind of a comment is this?! To get 'very scared' we also have MSM].
Somewhat disturbingly[...again, biased journalism!!! It's esay to spot: just look at the author's use of quotation marks()], the source for the “top story” on Pakistan Daily today is Pakistan’s president, Asif Ali Zardari. As an anonymous article on the sitereports accurately, in an interview with NBC News which aired on Sunday, Mr. Zardari claimed that he “knew” that Osama bin Laden was an American “operator” during the 1980s.
Mr. Zardari told David Gregory, in the part of the interview embedded below, that this knowledge dates from 1989, when, he said, his late wife, Benazir Bhutto, who was then Pakistan’s prime minister, had called the first President Bush to complain about Mr. bin Laden’s efforts to destabilize Pakistan, presumably on behalf of the government of the United States.

Barack Obama Is Lying About Pakistan
[...]
In less than two years, the United States has successfully managed to drop from news headlines its failure to pacify Afghanistan. The focus of the Anglo-American media – American and British – has been locked on Pakistan. In order to justify this shift, multiple insurgencies and endless supply of money and weapons has trickled from U.S.-occupied Afghanistan into Pakistan to sustain a number of warlords inside Pakistan whom the American media calls ‘Taliban’ but they are actually nothing but hired mercenaries with sophisticated weapons who mostly did not even exist as recently as the year 2005.

Osama Bin Laden was US operator destabilising Benazir

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has alleged that elusive Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was a US operator who had tried to destabilise his late wife Benazir Bhutto's government back in 1989.
In fact, as premier Bhutto had "warned America about Osama bin Laden in 1989 with a call to then US president George H. Bush", Zardari said on NBC's Meet the Press programme Sunday.
"She rang senior Bush and asked of him: 'Are you destabilizing my government?' because he (apparently referring to bin Laden) paid the then opposition $10 million to overthrow the first woman elected (prime minister) in an Islamic country," Zardari added.
"So, we knew that he was your operator," said Zardari responding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts."You'll have been there (in Afghanistan) for eight years. (So) you tell me. You lost him in Tora Bora, I didn't, I was in prison," he countered when asked where bin Laden was before hurling the allegation at Washington.
Asked if Pakistan was actively looking for bin Laden, Zardari replied: "The world is looking for him and we are part of the world look-out brigade."Zardari also reiterated his belief that bin Laden is dead. "I have a strong feeling and I have reason to believe that because I've asked my counterparts in the American intelligence agencies and they have not heard of him since seven years."

http://www.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=46&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=611897&idseccio_PK=1006
http://economiapais.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/clases1.gif
