This is the amazing thing about rabid global economic recessions combined with volatile environmental collapses combined with a tasty national identity crisis combined with a truly historic, revolutionary president combined with a gnawing sense that our species might not be long for this world after all combined with the overwhelming sense that something, somewhere, something big and meaty and interesting and maybe even profoundly and butt-shakingly unexpected, has got to give.
This is the feeling: anything can happen. Nearly every day in this New Millennium Wonderland, we are swarmed by distressing, heartbreaking tales of woe and hardship and layoff, only to spin right around and read about something positive and uplifting and innovative emerging from it all, some unanticipated, rise-from-the-ashes kind of thing that whipsaws your perspective and pinches the nipples of your worldview.

A new star, likely the brightest supernova in recorded human history, lit up planet Earth's sky in the year 1006 AD. The expanding debris cloud from the stellar explosion, found in the southerly constellation of Lupus, still puts on a cosmic light show across the electromagnetic spectrum. In fact, this composite view includes X-ray data in blue from the Chandra Observatory, optical data in yellowish hues, and radio image data in red. Now known as the SN 1006 supernova remnant, the debris cloud appears to be about 60 light-years across and is understood to represent the remains of a white dwarf star. Part of a binary star system, the compact white dwarf gradually captured material from its companion star. The buildup in mass finally triggered a thermonuclear explosion that destroyed the dwarf star. Because the distance to the supernova remnant is about 7,000 light-years, that explosion actually happened 7,000 years before the light reached Earth in 1006. Shockwaves in the remnant accelerate particles to extreme energies and are thought to be a source of the mysterious cosmic rays.

A giant, anvil-shaped cloud bubbles up towards the Earth's stratosphere, looming over West Africa. The amazing formation would be invisible to anyone on the ground and would even be obscure from a regular passenger jet since they can reach up to 75,000ft. But astronauts captured the astonishing picture from hundreds of miles up as they orbited the globe on the International Space Station.

Another major school institution has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy that bars both new and current students who haven’t received the meningitis and MMR shots from enrolling for the coming academic year.
The University of Alabama recently sent out an e mail to all its students informing them that they had to provide proof of several different immunizations before they could register for their course.
Failure to provide such proof would mean the students would be forced to take the shots on campus at the Student Health Center – refusal to do so would prevent them from enrolling and could also lead to further judiciary punishment.

The instrument, which was presented as something involved in the study of death, turned out to have been designed as a medical diagnosis tool. "I don’t know if you heard that a formation was reported on the 28th of July at Winterbourne Bassett. The farmer destroyed it early in the morning before anyone had the chance to photograph it from the air or visit it on the ground.
Today I went over there to take a look at the sad remains of the formation. All I could make out was that it had been fairly large (seems to have spanned five tram lines) and that the periphery had been made up by a ring about one metre wide. From the few sections of stalks still lying on the ground, it looked like the pattern must have been quite complex.
To my great joy, I discovered that the farmer had not cut grapeshot at the corner of the field. Seeing the elegant swirl in that little circle (about to metres in diameter), I can only imagine that the lay in the main formation must have been very beautiful."

We are hearing reports that many members of the Rothschild family, including Tokyo-based Stephan de Rothschild, are desperately seeking to trade toxic financial waste for gold. It is clear they know the US Federal Reserve Board’s days are numbered.
They probably have so much real estate and art treasures to their name that they really do not need that gold. The smarter members of the clan must already have all the gold they will ever need and more stashed away in Swiss banks. Those who could not see the writing on the wall may have to try to do something the rest of us already have to: work for a living.

The moon reflects sunlight like humans reflect information. We wax and wane and when we become full moons, our egos are full. We think we have this knowledge when in fact, the information we have is pure. And how it reflects or shines off of us, is something we take credit for as though the moon could take credit for its brightness when, in fact, it is only reflecting light from the sun.
We have to understand that we are ego-less just as the moon is without light. It and we are simply reflectors. The ego is not responsible for the information. It can reflect the information in creative ways, but the information itself is pure".
