The basic principle underlying our current economy is “to make rich people happy and make everybody else frightened.” Chomsky lays particular blame for this doctrine on Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan-- “Saint Alan”-- who claims the economy is working well because of private entrepreneurial initiative and expanding consumer choice. Chomsky disagrees. He claims that in the last 30 years, it has been public spending on such technologies as computers, satellites, the Internet and lasers that has fed the economy. And the wealth derived from these technologies has gone primarily into the hands of corporate masters, who represent a fraction of the American people. The government has used a succession of bogeymen—the Soviets, Communist insurgents around the world, and now global terrorism—to scare taxpayers into supporting core defense programs whose technologies ultimately spin off into private hands. The current administration advocates not merely controlling space, but owning it, with a new missile-based system and satellite-guided unmanned drones. This expensive strategy, combined with the doctrine of striking first at perceived enemies, may well bring global calamity.

Últimamente, comienza a resultar familiar la verificación de patrones sísmicos, en los que la distribución de las placas tectónicas, no obedece a las leyes de la elasticidad propia de éstas.
Los patrones detectados en el terremoto de Chile, y de Haití, son incompatibles con las leyes de la sismología clásica, ya que vulneran, radicalmente, la lógica de las leyes de elasticidad de las placas tectónicas. Por todo ello, son incompatibles con el factor Naturaleza, como causa de producción. El patrón vertical de réplica intermitente discontínua, es incompatible, con las propiedades geológicas de las placas tectónicas.

Kodiak Launch Complex

KLC was the US’s first commercial spaceport not collocated on a federal range. Located about 44 road miles south of the city of Kodiak at Narrow Cape on Kodiak Island, the spaceport is state-of-the-industry and AAC strives to keep it that way. Vigilance, regularly scheduled maintenance, and periodic upgrades govern day-to-day activity. KLC is situated on 3,717 acres of state owned land, and AAC has authority during launch missions to limit public access to an additional 7,000 acres to assure public safety and security.

KLC is the US’s only high latitude full service spaceport. It features all indoor, all weather, processing and was designed specifically to provide optimal support for space launches to polar orbit, including circular and highly elliptical Molniya and Tundra orbits. KLC offers unrestricted down range launch azimuths ranging from 110° to 220°, and is the only U.S. facility that can launch high inclination (63.4°) missions without land over-flight and the requirement to resort to energy consuming dog leg flight segments. The spaceport, like all U.S. west coast facilities, sits on the seismically active Pacific Rim, and all structures and components are designed to exceed applicable design criteria for seismically active zones.

How, you’re no doubt asking by now, do UFOs fit under the umbrella of “Nukes and Other WMDs”? Because they beggar the question: Why aren’t UFOs (assuming, for the sake of argument, a belief in their existence) powered by nuclear energy?
Perhaps it’s impossible to configure nuclear energy to that end. Or maybe, to extraterrestrials, it’s an ancient technology long ago superseded by less hazardous scientific advancements. Come to think of it, even for an earth technology, nuclear power is old — over 60 years.

However open to the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrials, disarmament advocates shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for aliens to ride to their rescue. (It’s as chimerical as hawks who seek to huddle under missile defense systems.) But if extraterrestrials are darting about our atmosphere, it’s a safe bet that they can’t be happy about past tests of nuclear detonations and the prospect of their use in warfare. Apparently extraterrestrials perceive a truth about nuclear weapons that many of us on earth don’t — that they’re a rip in the fabric of the space-time continuum.

Appearing on the podcast Beyond the Grassy Knoll always provided this writer [Paul David Collins] with a great opportunity to kick around the hypothetical peanut. The March 8, 2009 show was certainly no exception. During the course of the program, the topic of the specter of global war raised its ugly head. The possible, almost inevitable, endgame scenario is a gloomy subject to say the least. Still, the fact that the final competition between the world's power elite may be manifested as a worldwide conflict is something that show host Vyzygoth felt needed to be addressed. Cutting directly to the chase, Vyz asked when we believed the first blows in the title fight should be expected. In response, this writer[Paul David Collins] told Vyz and the Knoll audience that a world war would not be possible until nations could produce troop surges that would put a million boots on the ground. Demographic bleed and a considerable drop in replacement births, courtesy of the power elite's depopulation efforts, limits present war-making capabilities and guarantees that such a conflict will be delayed for several years. Vyz accepted this assessment of the situation and moved on to the next part of the show.
There is, however, other war preparations that may have to be made that only came to this writer's mind after the show was over. Those preparations would not take place on the earth, but above it. For enthusiasts of space travel and man's attempts to conquer gravity, space is considered the final frontier. But for the military establishments of the world's most powerful nations, space has become the final battleground.
The concept of space weapons may have found its beginning in the most unlikely of places: late 19th century science fiction stories. These early literary fantasies imagined a super weapon with destructive force that beggared description. The super weapon came in many shapes and sizes and quickly shed its terrestrial chains within the pages of science fiction novels.
