UFO investigators reveal possible otherworldly relic

http://www.roswell-record.com/main.asp?FromHome=1&TypeID=1&ArticleID=42044&SectionID=49&SubSectionID=112
[The aluminum silicate 'something' found by Chuck Zukowski.]

UFO investigators held a press conference at the Roswell Civic and Convention Center on Thursday to announce that they found ... something.
"At this point, we don't know what it was or why it was there," said UFO investigator Chuck Zukowski. "I don't want to speculate."
"We want to announce to the world that this stuff needs further analysis," explained Dr. Bill Doleman, a retired archaeologist who supervised the dig where the items were found.
The artifacts were discovered in 2002 during a dig sponsored by the Sci Fi Channel, at a site where some eyewitnesses say a mysterious craft ricocheted off the ground in 1947.
[...]
Zukowski said it took years for them to figure out whether they could run tests on the items.
Zukowski said he determined that the artifact was mostly aluminum silicate. Other elements showed up in the sample, but he believes they are mostly from the microscope's surroundings or dirt that clung to the object.
Doleman said that aluminum silicate is not uncommon in nature, but the item was found on a limestone plateau, which is mostly calcium carbonate. There seemed to be nothing around that would contain or produce the compound.
[...]
"We know this thing definitely is not organic, number one," he concluded. "Number two, we know it's not indigenous."
[...]
The items that Doleman found most interesting were some orange blobs of material. Assaigai Analytical Laboratories Inc. in Albuquerque found that they were modacrylic adhesive, a heat-resistant synthetic copolymer. The Union Carbide Corporation was the first to produce modacrylic fiber in 1949.
Zukowski said the modacrylic adhesive might tie into an eyewitness account. One of the volunteer excavators was Nancy Easly Johnson, daughter of Maj. Edwin Easly, who was allegedly at the crash site. Easly told Johnson little about the incident, but mentioned orange debris.

The flu leaves us with a wake-up call [A Biased Appraisal by Henry I. Miller]

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-oped0508flumay08,0,1653211.story

http://www.acsh.org/imgLib/20061102_trustee_miller.jpg
Just when concerns about H5N1 avian flu seemed to give way to other worries -- especially the flagging economy -- a new strain of H1N1 swine flu swept into our consciousness. Its most recent predations, and the responses to them, led virtually every newscast for two weeks.
[...]
Characteristically, pronouncements from the World Health Organization, an agency of the highly politicized and self-serving UN, have not been reassuring. Most flu and public health experts consider that their decision last week to raise the pandemic flu threat to the penultimate Level 5, "Pandemic Imminent," far outpaced the data and was alarmist and unwarranted. The "imminence" of a pandemic has pushed governmental authorities and individuals into unwise decisions: unnecessary school, business and event closings and purchases of anti-flu drugs on the Internet -- as often as not, a source of counterfeits. But flawed decision-making is typical of the WHO, an organization that is scientifically mediocre, unaccountable and self-serving, and whose policy role should be limited. [Why?]
[...]
Although pandemic strains of flu often are both qualitatively and quantitatively much worse than the seasonal flu viruses, the H1N1 virus causing the current outbreak seems to be relatively benign. Except for Mexico (for reasons that remain unclear), illnesses have generally been mild, hospitalizations few, and mortality minimal. Where are we, then, after about two weeks of accumulated knowledge and widespread publicity about the outbreak? For one thing, we're bedeviled by cost-benefit decisions of all sorts. Only hindsight will pick the winners and losers, but it appears that U.S. public health officials -- particularly those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health -- have acted with appropriate judgment and restraint: They continue to accumulate, analyze and disseminate information and to offer advice to the public and health professionals. They are preparing for a worsening of the situation but are not overreacting. They have made testing kits widely available around the country and abroad. Their research laboratories are working around the clock, performing sequencing and other analyses of swine flu isolates, and they are preparing contingency plans should the situation change suddenly. Perhaps most important, they are not making dubious, alarmist pronouncements. [Really?? So it's just an illusion created by the media? Geez....]

*Henry I. Miller, M.S., M.D., is a fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. A physician, molecular biologist and former flu researcher[?], he headed the Food and Drug Administration Office of Biotechnology from 1989 to 1993. [In other words, Mr. Miller joined the Food and Drug Administration in 1979 and served in a number of posts. He was the medical reviewer for the first genetically engineered drugs evaluated by the FDA and was instrumental in the rapid licensing (Meaning, without following the proper protocols for licensing...don't forget who were the presidents during the time Miller was in the FDA) of human insulin and human growth hormone. Thereafter, he was a special assistant to the FDA commissioner, with responsibility for biotechnology issues, and from 1989 to 1993 was the founding director of the FDA's Office of Biotechnology. During his government service, Miller participated frequently on various expert and policy panels as a representative of the FDA or the U.S. government. Miller was short-listed in 2006 by the editors of Nature Biotechnology as one of the personalities who had made the "most significant contributions" to biotechnology during the previous 10 years. Miller serves on numerous editorial boards and is an adjunct scholar at several thinktanks...Scary credentials, knowing what we know today]

Anaconda Wave Power Generator

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/may/06/anaconda-wave-power
Giant rubber sea snakes could harness the plentiful clean power off Britain's coasts within five years, according to the inventors of a new type of wave-energy generator.
Checkmate Sea Energy unveiled the final stages of a proof-of-concept trial of its Anaconda device, seen by many experts as at the forefront of the next generation of robust, cheap wave-power machines that could slash the costs of making renewable electricity.
Made from a composite of fabric and natural rubber, the Anaconda rides oncoming waves and uses the motion to drive a turbine in its tail. The test device is nine metres long but its developers say that a full-scale device could be up to 200m in length and be capable of producing 1MW of power, enough for a thousand homes, and cost £2m to build. Farms of 50 or more could be placed underwater a few miles from the coast.

http://www.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=46&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=610527&idseccio_PK=1012
http://comoganardineroconmipaginaweb.com/sedo.jpghttp://bolsaprofesionalinmobiliaria.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/subasta-dominios.jpg

http://www.lavanguardia.es/internacional/noticias/20090508/53699531692/la-principal-empresa-de-mercenarios-deja-iraq.html
http://justgetthere.us/blog/uploads/blackwater.jpghttp://www.pscai.org/images/tc_logo.gif

[!!!]

http://www.alternativechannel.tv/blog/es/images/uploads/greenwashing.jpg

Greek philosophers Plato and Pythagoras were the first ones to assign a set value to geometry and concluded that geometry forms the basis principle in the arrangement of the world and the universe. Having said that, the Egyptians, Maya and other ancient cultures long before their time built their sanctuaries according to these geometric proportions. Because of the unmatched beauty and harmony of these perfect proportions the geometric patterns that reoccur in nature with great regularity are called Sacred Geometry.
The universe is shaped according to set geometric proportions. The perhaps most famous example is the Golden Ratio, a special geometric value that occurs everywhere on earth. These mathematical proportions can be recognised in everything: from the atoms and the stars to manmade architectural structures. Our brain recognises Sacred Geometric shapes and forms at subconscious level. This innate knowledge is a universal part of the human brain and leads inevitably to the fact that people tend to experience certain emotions when concentrating on these shapes. The brain, however, doesn’t always recognise where this is coming from, because geometry enters the subconscious mind in an unfiltered manner.
Some simple examples of Sacred Geometric shapes are, amongst others, the circle, and the sphere the Golden Ratio. More complex forms are for example the five Platonic Solids: Tetrahedron – Hexahedron (cube) – Octahedron – Dodecahedron – Icosahedron. The water clusters in our body, for example, are organised according to this norm. Our subconscious mind recognises these forms by itself, even when we are usually not aware of this.

Breaking News! UFO Sweden is releasing thousands of UFO files beginning May 9-10, 2009, according to a news story in the Swedish online news magazine, Expressen.
Translation of the story was provided by Torbjorn Sassersson, Director of Exopolitics Sweden and editor of Soul Travel Magazine. Sassersson's translation states that:
Besides the 18,000 Swedish cases are thousands of cases from Denmark and other Nordic countries. Thousands of US cases on micro film are also included. The archive (Norrkoping) will be open to the public domain starting May 9-10, 2009.
The chairman of UFO Sweden, Clas Svahn, mentions one case of special interest, a case from 1980. A cigar shaped UFO submerged itself into a mountain lake and never came up again, according to witnesses. Svahn comments, ''it may still be there, since the lake has never been monitored by divers.''

Leaked Agenda: Bilderberg Group Plans Economic Depression

·Elitists divided on whether to quickly sink economy and replace it with new world order, or set in motion long, agonizing depression.

Leaked Agenda: Bilderberg Group Plans Economic Depression 060509top2
On the eve of the 2009 Bilderberg Group conference, which is due to be held May 14-17 at the 5 star Nafsika Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Greece, investigative reporter Daniel Estulin has uncovered shocking details of what the elitists plan to do with the economy over the course of the next year.
The Bilderberg Group meeting is an annual confab of around 150 of the world’s most influential powerbrokers in government, industry, banking, media, academia and the military-industrial complex. The secretive group operates under “Chatham House rules,” meaning that no details of what is discussed can ever be leaked to the media, despite editors of the world’s biggest newspapers, the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Financial Times, being present at the meeting.
According to Estulin’s sources, which have been proven highly accurate in the past, Bilderberg is divided on whether to put into motion, “Either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline and poverty … or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency.”
The information takes on added weight when one considers the fact that Estulin’s previous economic forecasts, which were based on leaks from the same sources, have proven deadly accurate. Estulin correctly predicted the housing crash and the 2008 financial meltdown as a result of what his sources inside Bilderberg told him the elite were planning based on what was said at their 2006 meeting in Canada and the 2007 conference in Turkey.

NASA rescue mission aims to revive Hubble Telescope

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2009-05-06-hubble_N.htm
http://media4.obspm.fr/exoplanets/pages_exopl-resultats/images/images/hubble_telescope.jpg
The Hubble Space Telescope, one of the greatest scientific instruments of all time, is about to get an extreme makeover — an overhaul so delicate and risky that NASA astronaut John Grunsfeld likens it to "brain surgery."
At 19 years old, the famous telescope is showing its age. Three of its scientific instruments are broken. Half of its six gyroscopes, which keep the Hubble pointed in the right direction, aren't working. And its batteries are slowly dying.
The seven-member crew of space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to blast off Monday in an attempt to fix it.
It will be the fifth, final and most difficult mission to service the Hubble — a mission that was judged so risky to astronauts it was canceled in 2004 before safety precautions were added to ease the concerns.
If the work succeeds, it will mean a glorious rebirth of the Hubble. The telescope would be 90 times more powerful than when it was launched in 1990. If the mission fails, astronomy's crown jewel could become a $6.9 billion "piece of space junk" with no chance to save it, astronaut and mission commander Scott Altman says.

http://www.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=46&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=610203&idseccio_PK=1012
http://astable.sekano.org/wp-content/p2p.jpg

Crop Circles -2009 Update- Numbers 7, 8 & 9

[Formation Nº 7 @ East Kennett Longbarrow - nr Avebury, Wiltshire - reported May 3, 2009]
A four fold scalloped design with a nested Celtic Cross bisected by an inner ring.
This formation was discovered from the air around 10.45am Sunday May 3. The glyph can not be seen from the surrounding landscape. Overall diameter of this event is approximately 180 feet. Due to severe time constraints no critical examination of the laid plants was carried out. It did however appear that at least a few people had visited the circle during the early morning of day one, resulting in random damage to plants all over the formation.

[Formation Nº 8 @ Clatford - nr Manton, Wiltshire - reported May 4, 2009]
This Pictogram was discovered from the air in the early morning of May 4 2009. It is not viewable from any position in the local landscape. During the night of the creation of the glyph there was moderate rainfall in the local area.
The Glyph measures approximately 800 feet in length and around 250 feet wide. The crop is around 5 feel high. Further, the formation stretches over the crest of the hill at the top of the field, making any direct full length sight line out of the question.
More or less all the laid rape-seed plants in the formation were noted as broken and / or severely damaged at the base of the stems. Also much severe bruising was well evident on the laid plants. Some of this damage to the plants can be seen in the ground shots on this page. Most notably this damage shows as dark strips that run down the centres of the narrow avenues in the formation.
All damage to this formation looked systematic and intentional, and did not convey the appearance of standard regular hoaxing activity.
According to a very qualified and certificated tracker that was present during the inspection "the visible damage to the plants must have occurred between 5 and 6 hours prior to our inspection". This damage therefore must have occurred between 6am and 7am on May 4.
A small key-ring torch and a sweet wrapper were found "placed" in the circle during our late morning inspection of the site, Neither the paper wrapper nor the torch had been exposed to the night rain or early dawn dew, therefore it is very probable that they were inserted later in the morning. This could be considered at best extremely curious!

Army developing synthetic telepathy technology

http://thecrit.com/2008/10/17/army-developing-synthetic-telepathy-technology/#more-386

Vocal cords were overrated anyway. A new Army grant aims to create email or voice mail and send it by thought alone. No need to type an e-mail, dial a phone or even speak a word.
Known as synthetic telepathy, the technology is based on reading electrical activity in the brain using an electroencephalograph, or EEG. Similar technology is being marketed as a way to control video games by thought.
“I think that this will eventually become just another way of communicating,” said Mike D’Zmura, from the University of California, Irvine and the lead scientist on the project.
“It will take a lot of research, and a lot of time, but there are also a lot of commercial applications, not just military applications,” he said.
The idea of communicating by thought alone is not a new one. In the 1960s, a researcher strapped an EEG to his head and, with some training, could stop and start his brain’s alpha waves to compose Morse code messages.

Tesseract (four-dimensional analog of the cube)

[3D projections of an 8-cell performing, on the left, a simple rotation about a plane which bisects the figure from front-left to back-right and top to bottom; and on the right, a double rotation about two orthogonal planes.]

In geometry, the
tesseract, also called an 8-cell or regular octachoron, is the four-dimensional analog of the cube. The tesseract is to the cube as the cube is to the square. Just as the surface of the cube consists of 6 square faces, the hypersurface of the tesseract consists of 8 cubical cells. The tesseract is one of the six convex regular 4-polytopes.

A generalization of the cube to dimensions greater than three is called a ''Hypercube'', “n-cube” or “measure polytope”. The tesseract is the four-dimensional hypercube, or 4-cube.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word tesseract was coined and first used in 1888 by Charles Howard Clinton in his book A New Era of Thought, from the Greek ''τέσσερεις ακτίνες'' (“four rays”), referring to the four lines from each vertex to other vertices. Some people have called the same figure a “tetracube”, and also simply a "hypercube" (although a hypercube can be of any dimension).

The most celebrated inscription at the Central Intelligence Agency's headquarters in Langley, Virginia, used to be the biblical phrase chiseled into marble in the main lobby: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." But in recent years, another text has been the subject of intense scrutiny inside the Company and out: 865 characters of seeming gibberish, punched out of half-inch-thick copper in a courtyard.
It's part of a sculpture called Kryptos, created by DC artist James Sanborn. He got the commission in 1988, when the CIA was constructing a new building behind its original headquarters. The agency wanted an outdoor installation for the area between the two buildings, so a solicitation went out for a piece of public art that the general public would never see. Sanborn named his proposal after the Greek word for hidden. The work is a meditation on the nature of secrecy and the elusiveness of truth, its message written entirely in code.
Almost 20 years after its dedication, the text has yet to be fully deciphered. A bleary-eyed global community of self-styled cryptanalysts—along with some of the agency's own staffers—has seen three of its four sections solved, revealing evocative prose that only makes the puzzle more confusing. Still uncracked are the 97 characters of the fourth part (known as K4 in Kryptos-speak). And the longer the deadlock continues, the crazier people get.
[James Sanborn buried his sculpture's message so deeply that a CIA staffer took seven years to solve just the first three sections. Here's what they know...]

200,000 Year Old Statue Found On Moon

http://thecrit.com/2009/05/05/200000-year-old-statue-found-on-moon/
ReliefSumer
WASHINGTON, DC - A noted scientist has just produced proof that the lunar surface was inhabited by intelligent life: a 10-inch angel sculpture embedded in a moon rock.
Geologist Dr. Morris Charles revealed last week that NASA lab workers chipped the angel from one of the rocks brought to Earth by Apollo 11 astronauts 40 years ago, in 1969. Dr. Charles was a NASA scientist himself for 23 years but left the agency in 1987. He still maintains close ties to many of his former colleagues.
“The implications of this figurine are absolutely mind-boggling,” Dr. Charles told reporters. “It means that at one time the moon had an atmosphere conducive to life. And what’s more, it was once home to a sophisticated race of people with a highly refined sense of beauty.”
The angel - a humanoid female with wing-like appendages on her back and long flowing hair - is made of an iron compound found exclusively in the highlands of the moon.

Schwarzenegger open to studying marijuana tax idea

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says California should study other nations’ experiences in legalizing and taxing marijuana, although he is not supporting the idea.
He says it’s time to debate proposals such as a bill introduced in the Legislature earlier this year that would treat marijuana like alcohol. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, a San Francisco Democrat, says taxing marijuana at $50 per ounce would bring more than $1 billion a year to the state.
Schwarzenegger said during a Tuesday news conference that “it’s time for debate” on the idea. But he warned against making harmful decisions just for the sake of raising money.
He said some other nations have had negative experiences.[Which nations? Look at Portugal's 'experience'] Ammiano’s bill is on hold in the Legislature. He delayed seeking approval until next year.

U.S. Says Bank of America Needs $33.9 Billion Cushion

The government has told Bank Of America it needs $33.9 billion in capital to withstand any worsening of the economic downturn, according to an executive at the bank.
If the bank is unable to raise the capital cushion by selling assets or stock, it would have to rely on the government, which has provided $45 billion in capital through the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
It could satisfy regulators’ demands simply by converting non-voting preferred shares it gave the government in return for the capital, into common stock.
But that would make the government one of the bank’s largest shareholders.

Old Japanese maps on Google Earth unveil secrets

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/products/services/2009-05-04-google-maps_N.htm

TOKYO — When Google Earth added historical maps of Japan to its online collection last year, the search giant didn't expect a backlash. The finely detailed woodblock prints have been around for centuries, they were already posted on another website, and a historical map of Tokyo put up in 2006 hadn't caused any problems.
But Google failed to judge how its offering would be received, as it has often done in Japan. The company is now facing inquiries from the Justice Ministry and angry accusations of prejudice because its maps detailed the locations of former low-caste communities.
The maps date back to the country's feudal era, when shoguns ruled and a strict caste system was in place. At the bottom of the hierarchy were a class called the "burakumin," ethnically identical to other Japanese but forced to live in isolation because they did jobs associated with death, such as working with leather, butchering animals and digging graves.
Castes have long since been abolished, and the old buraku villages have largely faded away or been swallowed by Japan's sprawling metropolises. Today, rights groups say the descendants of burakumin make up about 3 million of the country's 127 million people.
But they still face prejudice, based almost entirely on where they live or their ancestors lived. Moving is little help, because employers or parents of potential spouses can hire agencies to check for buraku ancestry through Japan's elaborate family records, which can span back over a hundred years.

Disclosure 101

[Short film outlining basic information behind the Disclosure Initiative.]

Japanese scientist claims breakthrough with organ grown in sheep

Huddled at the back of her shed, bleating under a magnificent winter coat and tearing cheerfully at a bale of hay, she is possibly the answer to Japan’s chronic national shortage of organ donors: a sheep with a revolutionary secret.
Guided by one of the animal’s lab-coated creators, the visitor’s hand is led to the creature’s underbelly and towards a spot in the middle under eight inches of greasy wool. Lurking there is a spare pancreas.
If the science that put it there can be pushed further forward, Japan may be spared an ethical and practical crisis that has split medical and political opinion.
As the sheep-based chimera organ technology stands at the moment, says the man who is pioneering it, the only viable destination for the pancreas underneath his sheep would be a diabetic chimpanzee.
The organ growing on the sheep was generated from monkey stem cells but the man behind the science, Yutaka Hanazono, believes that the technology could be developed eventually to make sheep into walking organ banks for human livers, hearts, pancreases and skin.
It could happen within a decade, he guesses, perhaps two.

A success rate of one in 1,000 shows stop and search doesn't work

·This 'important tool' against terrorism treats black people as suspects.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/may/06/nicola-rollock-stop-and-search
http://blog.artofthestate.co.uk/_photos/38015480e3a8adca31b045a3f06dd4acc240524b8964f5aea4297c41.jpg
The use of police stop-and-search powers under the Terrorism Act 2000 has risen dramatically since summer 2007, with black and Asian people disproportionately targeted in the "aftermath of the failed London bombing in the Haymarket" (Use of police stop-and-search powers under terror law surges).
As you report, new Ministry of Justice figures show that from 2007-08 "the number of black people stopped under these powers rose by 322%, compared with an increase of 277% for Asian and 185% for white people". But an unreported aspect of the figures was the increase in the proportion of these searches being carried out by the Metropolitan Police - with little apparent effect.
The Met were responsible for 87% of all black people searched under this law in 2008, an increase of 303% from the previous year. Only eight of the 8,222 searched were subsequently arrested for activities related to terrorism. Yet in your article Home Office minister Vernon Coaker described stop and search as an "important tool" aimed at "disrupting crime and responding to intelligence and levels of risk". Even if we ignore the fact that not all arrests lead to conviction, this meant that the Met had grounds to arrest only one in every 1,028 black people searched. It is difficult to establish how such rates of success make it an "important tool".

http://www.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=46&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=609814&idseccio_PK=1012

http://www.lavanguardia.es/internet-y-tecnologia/noticias/20090505/53696693984/investigan-a-apple-y-google-por-monopolio-eric-schmidt-francisco-schmidt.html
http://skeptisys.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/bite_of_apple.jpghttp://mastermarketing.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/google.jpg
San Francisco.
