  • And, we represent the people who want rights of state and local governments to establish healthy environments in their communities returned—rights that were taken away in the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which tied the hands of local governments, preventing them from resisting towers and antennas in their communities on health or environmental grounds—even when harm became clear.

Magnetic Amplification and Neutralization can be used in many applications. A motor[below] just seemed the most logical for demonstration purposes.

Basically what's happening in the photo [above] is this: With no current applied to the coil, the magnetism from the permanent magnet travels through the core of the coil, making the core part of the permanent magnet. When electricity is applied to the coil, (+ -), it greatly amplifies the magnetism over and above what would normally be the combined force of the electro-magnet and the permanent magnet. It's actually 2.9 times the power of the permanent magnet. When the polarity is switched, (- +), the magnetism at the face end of the coil is gone. Simply stopped. At 18 volts, 95.31 percent of the power produced by the [below] motor is generated by the permanent magnet. The electro-magnet is just simply acting as a switch, which at the appropriate time, is turning on and off the magnetism from the permanent magnet.

Un descubrimiento de la UAB nos acerca al sueño de la invisibilidad

Un grupo de investigadores del departamento de Física de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB, ha conseguido diseñar un dispositivo que hace invisibles los objetos a un determinado tipo de luz, las ondas electromagnéticas de muy baja frecuencia, que provocan que el campo magnético en su interior sea nulo, dejándolo intacto en el exterior. De esta manera, el dispositivo actúa, de momento de manera teórica, como una capa de invisibilidad que hace al objeto completamente indetectable a estas ondas.
La investigación está basada en una idea inicial de los ingleses Ben Wood y John Pendry, éste último considerado el padre de los metamateriales, y supone un paso adelante en la carrera para conseguir dispositivos que permitan lograr la invisibilidad a las frecuencias de la luz visible.

La invisibilidad a la luz visible, a los colores del arco iris que podemos ver con nuestros ojos, todavía no se ha conseguido de manera experimental. Pero ya hay científicos que trabajan en otros tipos de luz, como las microondas, con unos resultados experimentales, logrados el año 2006, que supusieron un primer paso hacia la invisibilidad; campos electromagnéticos de baja frecuencia, como las ondas de radio y televisión; e incluso campos magnéticos constantes, como los de los imanes o el de la Tierra.
