Todos los narradores conocen la combinación perfecta para una buena historia: una víctima, un villano y un héroe. Y lo que vale para la ficción sirve también para una buena teoría conspirativa. Por poner un ejemplo nada al azar: la situación de la nueva gripe y la próxima vacuna. El reparto es fácil: la víctima es la humanidad, la verdad científica, los pobres del mundo; los villanos, la industria farmacéutica, la Organización Mundial de la Salud; y el héroe -escojamos uno; en este caso, una heroína-, una monja benedictina de las montañas de Montserrat, Teresa Forcades, con su famoso vídeo Campanas por la gripe A.
Habría sido más fácil, lógicamente, centrarse en otros personajes que, al amparo de Internet, han transmitido mensajes apocalípticos. Pero fijarse en Rauni Kilde, ex ministra de Sanidad finlandesa reconvertida en apóstol del desastre gracias a la información que obtiene de los extraterrestres, sería demasiado fácil.
Porque el mérito de Forcades es que -a pesar o gracias al hábito- parece seria, y, seguramente, actúa con buena intención. Con la mejor. Es médica por la Universidad de Barcelona, y afirma que se especializó en Medicina Interna en Nueva York. De hecho, la suya es, de todas las iniciativas ciudadanas, una de las mejor fundamentadas. Y ahí está el mérito. Como Mary Poppins, ella también, entre cucharada y cucharada de azúcar, puede hacer comulgar (nunca mejor dicho) con ruedas de molino.

Escribí un artículo anterior sobre el vídeo de Teresa Forcades, la monja benedictina que ha removido algunos cimientos ideológicos a mucha gente en todo el mundo, hablando de la Gripe A, de los virus, de las farmacéuticas sospechosas y de las anomalías detrás de esta pandemia de la que, día sí día no, nos hablan con profusión nuestros medios de comunicación.
En aquella ocasión, mi necesidad de decir ciertas cosas estuvo motivada por un reportaje publicado por el periódico La Vanguardia. Entonces pensé que había dicho lo suficiente. Pero ahora sé que es posible que necesite decir más, e incluso mass y mass… Y es que me parece que es ahora o nunca. O despertamos ahora o seguimos dormidos. Y si seguimos dormidos, habremos perdido el tren. O despertamos ahora al papel de los mass media en la configuración de nuestra realidad, o habremos perdido el tren.
Por eso creo urgentísimo seguir hablando de ellos y de sus métodos, mirándolos de frente. Señalándolos. Con una desconfianza rotunda, declarada, ostensible.
Una desconfianza tan grande que propongo iniciar un movimiento ciudadano que se dedique a dejar al descubierto los trucos de prestidigitación que emplean nuestros medias para mantener a la ciudadanía en estado de hipnosis. Un movimiento para el que tengo un título que me gusta; se llamaría “DESNUDANDO AL EMPERADOR”.
El periódico El País, en su edición del domingo 1 de noviembre, arremete de nuevo contra Teresa Forcades con algo que podríamos definir como “saña”. Al igual que La Vanguardia, con un reportaje a doble página, lo que indica la importancia que conceden al tema. Dos artículos forman el reportaje; ambos están disponibles en Internet. El más largo, firmado por María R. Sahuquillo y Emilio de Benito[los de arriba], tiene un título que lo dice todo… “Desmontando a la monja-bulo”. No haría falta que siguiera explicando más. De entrada ya nos hemos enterado de lo que pretenden decirnos. “Elija su conspiración” es el título del otro artículo, que está firmado por Ricardo de Querol.

Google unveils protocol for an interplanetary internet

The Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN) protocol emerged from work first started in 1998 in partnership with Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The initial goal was to modify the ubiquitous Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to facilitate robust communications between celestial bodies and satellites.
Cerf and his team were eventually forced to acknowledge (ACK?) that TCP simply couldn't cut the mustard, with massive delay and data loss caused by celestial motion rendering TCP useless.
"There was a little problem called the speed of light," joked a typically playful Cerf, as he outlined the idea to the OpenMobileSummit conference in San Francisco. "When Earth and Mars are closest, we're 35 million miles apart, and it's a three and a half minute trip one way, seven minutes for a round trip. Then when we're farthest apart, we're 235 million miles – 20 minutes one way, 40 minutes round trip."
Those pesky planets. But surely Google, having dominated Earth, could do something about that? "The planets rotate, and we haven't figured out how to stop that," Cerf admitted.
The core issue is that TCP assumes a continuous (and fairly reliable) connection. DTN makes no such assumptions, requiring each node to buffer all of its packets until a stable connection can be established. Whereas TCP will repeatedly attempt to send packets until they are successfully acknowledged, DTN will automatically find a destination node with a reliable connection, and then send its payload just once. Given the latency of space communications and the minimal power restrictions placed upon satellites, DTNs approach seems prudent.
However most people don't have a need for regular satellite communication (well, our columnist Warren Ellis has that death ray of his), but Cerf sees his robust protocol having more down-to-Earth applications. Mobile networks, for example, must regularly cope with long periods of delay or loss – a train tunnel rudely interrupting a YouTube stream, for example. Perhaps looking to gain an edge on its competitors, Google has already integrated DTN into Android's networking stack.
Using Android from an asteroid? It's only a matter of time.

A little more than a half-mile from the Vatican, in a square called Campo de' Fiori, stands a large statue of a brooding monk. Few of the shoppers and tourists wandering through the fruit-and-vegetable market below may know his story; he is Giordano Bruno, a Renaissance philosopher, writer and free-thinker who was burned at the stake by the Inquisition in 1600. Among his many heresies was his belief in a "plurality of worlds" -- in extraterrestrial life, in aliens.
Though it's a bit late for Bruno, he might take satisfaction in knowing that this week the Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences is holding its first major conference on astrobiology, the new science that seeks to find life elsewhere in the cosmos and to understand how it began on Earth. Convened on private Vatican grounds in the elegant Casina Pio IV, formerly the pope's villa, the unlikely gathering of prominent scientists and religious leaders shows that some of the most tradition-bound faiths are seriously contemplating the possibility that life exists in myriad forms beyond this planet. Astrobiology has arrived, and religious and social institutions -- even the Vatican -- are taking note.
Father Jose Funes, a Jesuit astronomer, director of the centuries-old Vatican Observatory and a driving force behind the conference, suggested in an interview last year that the possibility of "brother extraterrestrials" poses no problem for Catholic theology. "As a multiplicity of creatures exists on Earth, so there could be other beings, also intelligent, created by God," Funes explained. "This does not conflict with our faith because we cannot put limits on the creative freedom of God."
Yet, as Bruno might attest, the notion of life beyond Earth does not easily coexist with the "truths" that many people hold dear. Just as the Copernican revolution forced us to understand that Earth is not the center of the universe, the logic of astrobiologists points in a similarly unsettling direction: to the likelihood that we are not alone, and perhaps that we are not even the most advanced creatures in the universe. This may not "conflict with our faith," but it may conflict with the stories we tell about who and what we are.

Goldman Sachs boss says banks do "God's work"

The chief executive of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Bankfein, which has attracted widespread media attention over the size of its staff bonuses, believes banks serve a social purpose and are doing "God's work."[!]
In an interview with London's Sunday Times newspaper, Lloyd Blankfein also said he believed big profits and bonuses at banks were a sign that the world economy was recovering.[!!]

George Bush, Jr. is in Japan this week trying to blackmail and bully the Japanese into handing a big fat check to Obama when he comes to Japan next week. He is blackmailing former Prime Minister Koizumi by threatening to expose Koizumi’s sadistic murder of the Shimbashi Geisha, who went by the name of Kohan, a Geisha in Asakusa and an American prostitute. According to senior Black Dragon Society sources and the Yakuza. Furthermore, Bush has threatened to expose the fact that former Finance Minister Heizo Takenaka got a $500 million bribe (Koizumi got a billion).
We are also hearing that Democratic Party of Japan power-broker, Ichiro Ozawa, had some kind of deadly microchip implanted in his heart when he had an operation in London. If this is true, then Ozawa should publicly announce the fact and anything else he is being blackmailed with.
Despite all these threats, the Japanese are making sure Obama gets no money. Instead, any publicly listed Japanese company, with capital of at least 200 billion yen that is involved in either banking or manufacturing or primary industry, will be given as much money as they need -with no strings attached- from a special BIS fund. The companies will be offered protection if they decide to use the money to manufacture products using hitherto forbidden technology.
The Black Dragon Society also says they would extend an offer of alliance and friendship to Bush’s former North Korean colleagues.

It can now be stated that all the US dollars connected to legitimate commerce are backed by gold at the rate of 1/28th of a gram per dollar. The remaining Federal Reserve Board debt notes will soon fall in value to 0.03 cents, according to extremely high level financial sources. This means all legitimate businessmen and workers paid in US dollars have nothing to worry about. However, high level con-artists selling financial “derivatives,” will be left with 0.03% of what they thought they owned.
It is amazing to see how many intelligent “well informed” people still do not have a clue about what is going on. If you connect the dots in the corporate propaganda media, you should be able to see for yourself without going to so-called “conspiracy” news sites. Among countries that have publicly said they will no longer use dollars for trade with each other can be found: China, Russia, Japan, South America, the Arab league, Turkey, Iran etc.
The final battle against the George Bush, Sr., Thule Society, Nazis continues to rage and we must remain vigilant until the very end. In Japan, Nazi stooges, like former Prime Ministers Koizumi and Nakasone along with their slave boy Heizo Takenaka, are trying to steal vast amounts of money from the Japanese people to hand over to Obama during his visit scheduled for next week. This will not happen. The Black Dragon Society is ready to go into full battle mode to prevent it.
If Obama is willing to go to Hiroshima and Nagasaki and apologize for US war crimes against Japan, then he will be given some money, but only enough to keep him going until January.

The remaining Federal Reserve Board debt notes will soon fall in value to 0.03 cents, according to extremely high level financial sources. This means all legitimate businessmen and workers paid in US dollars have nothing to worry about. However, high level con-artists selling financial “derivatives,” will be left with 0.03% of what they thought they owned.
It is amazing to see how many intelligent “well informed” people still do not have a clue about what is going on. At a top secret, high-finance, meeting scheduled for this weekend, China will propose that the US dollar be replaced by the Hong Kong dollar, according to a senior MI6 source. The proposal is under serious consideration by the backers of the new financial system.
As we have previously reported, most US dollars ever created are now backed by gold at the rate of 1/28th of a gram per dollar. De ahí la eterna lucha de código abierto o cerrado.
En el código cerrado, por lo tanto, nadie salvo el propio fabricante sabe que hace ese software exactamente. Esto en un sistema operativo es grave.
En el código abierto, el código fuente es publico, por lo tanto sabes con precisión lo que hace tu propio ordenador.
Por lo que nos pueden espiar absolutamente todo de nuestro pc sin ningún tipo de problema.

It came to Mr. Gore’s firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Silicon Valley’s top venture capital providers, looking for $75 million to expand its partnerships with utilities seeking to install millions of so-called smart meters in homes and businesses.
Mr. Gore and his partners decided to back the company, and in gratitude Silver Spring retained him and John Doerr, another Kleiner Perkins partner, as unpaid corporate advisers.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts. Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr. Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.
Silver Spring Networks is a foot soldier in the global green energy revolution Mr. Gore hopes to lead. Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy. “Este acuerdo no afecta la neutralidad de Colombia”. El Gobierno colombiano, que preside Álvaro Uribe, fue tajante a la hora de defender su convenio militar con Estados Unidos, que le permite a Washington utilizar siete bases con la presencia de 800 uniformados y 600 contratistas civiles.
Es el mismo acuerdo que despertó la ira de Venezuela, Ecuador y Bolivia, y un sigiloso resquemor de Brasil, Argentina y Uruguay. Las bases, señala el documento firmado, y sin pasar por el Congreso de Colombia, algo que ha sido objetado por la oposición, pretende apuntalar la lucha contra el narcotráfico y el terrorismo.

En uno de los aspectos más discutidos del acuerdo suscrito en Bogotá por el embajador de EEUU, William Brownfield, y el canciller colombiano, Jaime Bermúdez, el Gobierno de Alvaro Uribe decidió otorgarle la inmunidad diplomática a los 800 militares.
