Former Vice President Al Gore thought he had spotted a winner last year when a small California firm sought financing for an energy-saving technology from the venture capital firm where Mr. Gore is a partner.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient. It came to Mr. Gore’s firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Silicon Valley’s top venture capital providers, looking for $75 million to expand its partnerships with utilities seeking to install millions of so-called smart meters in homes and businesses.
Mr. Gore and his partners decided to back the company, and in gratitude Silver Spring retained him and John Doerr, another Kleiner Perkins partner, as unpaid corporate advisers.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts. Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr. Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.
Silver Spring Networks is a foot soldier in the global green energy revolution Mr. Gore hopes to lead. Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy. And few have put as much money behind their advocacy as Mr. Gore and are as well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes.
Mr. Gore is poised to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire,” profiteering from government policies he supports that would direct billions of dollars to the business ventures he has invested in.

The internet chapter of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), a secret[!!!] copyright treaty whose text Obama’s administration refused to disclose due to “national security” concerns, has leaked. It’s bad. It says:

• That ISPs have to proactively police copyright on user-contributed material. This means that it will be impossible to run a service like Flickr or YouTube or Blogger, since hiring enough lawyers to ensure that the mountain of material uploaded every second isn’t infringing will exceed any hope of profitability.
• That ISPs have to cut off the Internet access of accused copyright infringers or face liability. This means that your entire family could be denied to the internet — and hence to civic participation, health information, education, communications, and their means of earning a living — if one member is accused of copyright infringement, without access to a trial or counsel.
• That the whole world must adopt US-style “notice-and-takedown” rules that require ISPs to remove any material that is accused — again, without evidence or trial — of infringing copyright. This has proved a disaster in the US and other countries, where it provides an easy means of censoring material, just by accusing it of infringing copyright.
• Mandatory prohibitions on breaking DRM, even if doing so for a lawful purpose (e.g., to make a work available to disabled people; for archival preservation; because you own the copyrighted work that is locked up with DRM)

The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) is a proposed plurilateral trade agreement which is claimed by its proponents to be in response "to the increase in global trade of counterfeit goods and pirated copyright protected works." The scope of ACTA is broad, including counterfeit physical goods, as well as "internet distribution and information technology".
In October 2007 the United States, the European Community, Switzerland and Japan announced that they would negotiate ACTA. Furthermore the following countries have joined the negotiations: Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and the European Union. The ACTA negotiations have been conducted in secrecy until on 22 May 2008 a discussion paper about the proposed agreement was uploaded to Wikileaks, and newspaper reports about the secret negotiations quickly followed.
Negotiations were originally anticipated to conclude by the end of 2008, however in November 2008 the European Commission stated that negotiations were likely to continue in 2009. The next (sixth) round of negotiation is scheduled for South Korea in November 2009. At the fifth round of negotiations, in Morocco in July 2009, participants indicated their intention was to conclude the agreement "as soon as possible in 2010". According to New Zealand, ACTA would "establish a new international legal framework" and "the goal of ACTA is to set a new, higher benchmark for intellectual property rights enforcement that countries can join on a voluntary basis."
Critics argue ACTA is part of a broader strategy of venue shopping and policy laundering employed by the trade representatives of the US, EC, Japan, and other supporters of rigid intellectual property enforcement. This strategy entails negotiating for terms in international treaties that might prove too politically unpopular to pass in national assemblies. Similar terms and provisions currently appear in the World Customs Organization draft SECURE treaty, and critics have argued that the anticircumvention provisions of Title I of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act were similarly passed after policy laundering via treaties negotiated through the World Intellectual Property Organization.

The unseasonal snow that fell on Beijing for 11 hours on Sunday was the earliest and heaviest there has been for years. It was also, China claims, man-made. By the end of last month, farmland in the already dry north of China was suffering badly due to drought. So on Saturday night China's meteorologists fired 186 explosive rockets loaded with chemicals to "seed" clouds and encourage snow to fall. "We won't miss any opportunity of artificial precipitation since Beijing is suffering from a lingering drought," Zhang Qiang, head of the Beijing Weather Modification Office[!!!], told state media.
The US has tinkered with such cloud seeding to increase water flow from the Sierra Nevada mountains in California since the 1950s, but there remains widespread scientific sniffiness in the west at such attempts at weather control. The chemicals fired into the sky, usually dry ice or silver iodide, are supposed to provide a surface for water vapour to form liquid rain.
Chinese officials said the blue skies that brightened Beijing's parade to celebrate 60 years of communism last month were a result of the 18 cloud-seeding jets and 432 explosive rockets scrambled to empty the sky of rain beforehand. Last year, more than 1,000 rockets were fired to ensure a dry night for last year's Olympic opening ceremony.
"Only a handful of countries in the world could organise such large-scale, magic-like weather modification," Cui Lianqing, a senior meteorologist with the Chinese air force, told the Xinhua news agency after last month's parade.

In a sign of desperation, the Papa Bush Thule society Nazis sent a self-described KGB, Serbian Secret Police, MI6 (probably Mossad too) triple or quadruple agent, on a mission to try to tempt the Black Dragon Society into criminal activity. However, the BDS is a political organization and, although we are allowed to and are very capable of defending ourselves, we do not do crime.
We are pretty sure the agent himself does not know who he ultimately reports to but clearly, by his actions, we know the trail must ultimately lead to George Bush Senior and his crime family. No matter how many layers of camouflage and deception they may use, in the end their actions betray them. Our response is to invite George Bush Senior (although he is reported to be extremely senile) or Barbara or whoever is in charge to come to Japan and negotiate directly with the Black Dragons. There is no need for subterfuge, it just wastes time.
In a similar note, the MI6 source who gives Christopher Story bogus information about me[BF] is, by doing so and by trying to promote infighting amongst fellow foes of the Nazis, clearly reporting to George Bush Senior. We would like to suggest to MI6 that they remove this person from their command structure.
Meanwhile, we now know the Bush faction and their pet Obama managed to extend the October 27th deadline to repay a $1 trillion loan from the Chinese by allowing a top Chinese general to visit the US and cherry-pick the best of US military technology.
However, the Papa Bush faction clearly still needs more money. They asked the Black Dragon Society to sell them some gold in exchange for Fiat dollars so they could give Obama a bunch of money when he comes to Japan in November. Our answer: No way Jose. Not a penny -or yen- shall you get.

Ancient Human Metropolis Found in Africa

They have always been there. People noticed them before. But no one could remember who made them -- or why? Until just recently, no one even knew how many there were. Now they are everywhere -- thousands -- no, hundreds of thousands of them! And the story they tell is the most important story of humanity. But it's one we might not be prepared to hear.
Something amazing has been discovered in an area of South Africa, about 150 miles inland, west of the port of Maputo. It is the remains of a huge metropolis that measures, in conservative estimates, about 1500 square miles. It's part of an even larger community that is about 10,000 square miles and appears to have been constructed -- are you ready -- from 160,000 to 200,000 BCE!
The image [above] is a close-up view of just a few hundred meters of the landscape taken from google-earth. The region is somewhat remote and the "circles" have often been encountered by local farmers who assumed they were made by some indigenous people in the past. But, oddly, no one ever bothered to inquire about who could have made them or how old they were.

The creation of man seems to be described as a type of cloning and what we would today consider in vitro fertilization.
The result was a hybrid or "evolved human" with enhanced intellect who could perform the physical duties of the worker gods and also take care of the needs of all the gods.

The U.S. government has appointed what the media is ludicrously billing as an “independent” group of health advisors whose job it will be to whitewash adverse reactions to the swine flu vaccine and “explain” them to the public as mere coincidence.
Authorities have been busier honing their propaganda about the H1N1 inoculation program than they have dealing with the actual rollout of the vaccine. A $16 million dollar campaign to coerce Americans into taking the shot is falling flat on its face with increasing numbers rejecting the necessity to take the shot amidst concerns about its side-effects.
Health authorities have been desperately pushing the notion that the vaccine is safe as part of a gargantuan PR campaign, without explaining why well-connected members of the elite have had special access to an additive-free version of the shot that doesn’t contain ingredients like mercury and squalene that are contained in the public version.
As a result of the dangers of the H1N1 vaccine becoming widely known, authorities are moving to get out ahead of the story by acknowledging that millions of health problems in the aftermath of a vaccination campaign will be blamed on the vaccine, citing the 1976 swine flu debacle when the shot proved far deadlier than the actual virus.
Back In September, Reuters reported on how public health officials were expecting “an avalanche of so-called adverse event reports, which are reports of death, illness or other health trauma,” in the two weeks after people receive the vaccine.

Y pienso en un viaje que hice a Londres. En las estaciones de metro había unos carteles con un ojo que decían: «Si ves algo sospechoso, no dudes de ti, duda de los demás y denuncia». Cuando pienso en eso tengo más miedo de pensar dónde iremos a parar que de lo que nos pueda ocurrir. Estar más o menos en riesgo es ley de vida. Extremar el miedo que debemos darnos los unos a los otros es una paranoia y una forma de dominación. Y más que sentirnos seguros bajo este modelo opresivo, deberíamos oponernos a él. Deberíamos resistirnos a la terrible propaganda que se hace de la protección y vivir como si los demás también fueran nosotros. No porque no pueda pasarnos algo malo, sino porque generar miedo es la peor forma de evitarlo.
Hacerlo es una forma de dividirnos por razas, clases sociales o creencias, que es injusta y totalitaria. No deberíamos caer en eso. Generar miedo es la primera estrategia de un Estado fascista para hacernos creer que necesitamos extrema vigilancia de las fuerzas del orden. Y eso puede avalar cualquier cosa. La historia y la realidad nos lo han demostrado a menudo. No es que no sean necesarias las fueras del orden, investigaciones o protección. Pero los demás no son tan distintos a mí como quieren hacerme creer. Sean quienes sean los demás. La serie Lost (Perdidos) es una buena crítica de esta paranoia. Cuenta la historia de un grupo de supervivientes de un accidente de avión que intentan sobrevivir en una isla en que creen que están solos hasta que descubren rastros humanos. Esos a quienes no conocen reciben el nombre de los otros y se convierten en sus enemigos. Eso les lleva a tener más miedo del que tenían.
Sin embargo, nosotros no vivimos en ninguna situación tan histérica ni tan desesperada. Es mentira, aunque quieran hacérnoslo creer. Tenemos que ser valientes para resistir. Esta sí es una forma sensata de defendernos.

Ever Dream of THIS MAN?

Every night throughout the world hundreds of people dream about this face.

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.
That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.
The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.
From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moscow etc.
At the moment there is no ascertained relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of seeing this man. Moreover, no living man has ever been recognized as resembling the man of the portrait by the people who have seen this man in their dreams.
The aim of this website is:
- to help those who have seen this man in their dreams and to foster communication among them;
- to understand who this man is and why he appears in an apparently pattern-less array of situations in the dreams of such diverse human subjects.
